Steven Muns

Senior Associate

Steve Muns joined Hunt Special Situations Group in 2007. Prior to joining Hunt Special Situations Group, he managed the investment activities at Cox Oil LLC, an oil and gas company based in Dallas.

Previously, he spent three years at Highland Capital Management, LP, on the distressed investment team as a portfolio manager, where he was responsible for qualifying, executing and monitoring both debt and equity investments across various industries.

Prior to that, Muns worked for five years as an investment banker specializing in mergers and acquisitions. He worked at J.P. Morgan & Co., Inc., (and after the merger: JPMorgan Chase, Inc.) in the firm’s New York mergers and acquisitions practice focused primarily on consumer product companies.

Additionally, Muns and his wife founded and own Society Bakery, a small retail bakery in Dallas. He received a B.B.A. from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University, with a major in finance and a minor in economics.
